Empire Southwest is headquartered on a 40-acre property in the Mesa, AZ area. As the authorized Caterpillar dealer for heavy equipment and engines for Arizona and Southeastern California, its facility's floors must be able to withstand high-impact conditions.

With experience repairing heavy-impact concrete floors, Delta Pacific - Structural Preservation Systems (SPS) was contracted to install the ideal flooring system for Empire Southwest's maintenance bays.

In addition to strength, the flooring had to provide a dust-free environ-ment for servicing high-tolerance engines and hydraulic equipment, as well as look aesthetically pleasing.

After a thorough evaluation of the project, BayTop was selected as the best choice for Empire. BayTop is an epoxy trowel-down product that has the added feature of utilizing iron aggregate as a key part of the system. The epoxy binder is specifically formulated for chemical and wear resistance. The iron aggregate allows this ¼-inch flooring product to handle heavy loads and impact for commercial and industrial facilities. BayTop will withstand the facility's heavy tonnage and provide an attractive flooring solution for Empire Southwest for years to come.
