Empire Southwest chose DeltaTop from Delta Pacific - Structural Preservation Systems (SPS) for the areas outside of its maintenance facility that are subject to the constant pounding of tracked vehicles and other heavy equipment. 

Originally developed for transfer station tipping floors and other solid waste facility surfaces, DeltaTop is a natural fit for heavy equipment maintenance facilities. Much of the same equipment serviced by Empire Southwest can be found at your local transfer station or landfill.

"With this type of equipment and vehicular traffic, the service life of regular concrete is measured in months," says Jim Andrews of Delta Pacific - SPS.  "With DeltaTop, you're back to measuring the service life in years."

DeltaTop is also more durable over regular concrete when it comes to chemical or hazardous material attack.

For the exterior areas of Empire Southwest, sections of existing concrete that took the most abuse were replaced with DeltaTop.  As only these sections were replaced - rather than the entire facility - Empire Southwest could stay open and operational during the renovation.
