Rainbow Disposal Transfer Station
Employee-owned Rainbow Disposal, Inc. has been a dependable community partner providing excellent service for more than 50 years. Rainbow is dedicated to keeping southern California a beautiful place to live. At the core of this commitment is their state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF). In this facility, trash is mechanically and manually sorted, separating the maximum amount for recycling and the minimum for landfill.
Rainbow Disposal, Inc. knew that excessive wear and tear on concrete floors is inherent to the waste industry and they needed an effective and cost-efficient alternative to concrete for their tipping floor. Since 1984, Rainbow Disposal has turned to Delta Pacific Builders to provide a long-lasting and time-tested alternative to their concrete floors. Delta suggested the installation of iron floors a metallic floor topping system made to withstand the most abusive and demanding flooring applications. Iron floors have the exceptional ability to absorb impact and abrasion and are resistant to chemical attacks and last up to eight times longer than traditional concrete.
Iron floors have proven time and again that they can withstand repetitive traffic, impact from front-end loader buckets, gouging from glass and other jagged material, as well as the effects of aggressive liquids and chemicals. In addition, their large and experienced crews and quick-cure installation methods allow for minimal or no downtime for the customer. Delta Pacific Builders provides weekend and overnight installations avoiding costly shutdowns.
The new flooring system lived up to its reputation. The owner was so pleased with the results that Delta Pacific Builders has, to date, partnered with Rainbow Disposal to resurface more than 90,000 square feet of flooring in their waste management facilities.
